I salumi da Cinta Senese DOP e il Prosciutto Toscano DOP premiato con i 5 spilli Eccellenza Italiana nella guida “I salumi d’Italia” de L’Espresso, sono due dei prodotti di punta della famiglia RENIERI che produce salumi tipici toscani dal 1964 nel comune di Poggibonsi (SI). Un’azienda artigianale e familiare, molto legata a quel magico territorio toscano, compreso tra San Gimignano, Castellina in Chianti e Siena, che ha scelto di realizzare prodotti assolutamente speciali, rimanendo fedeli alla tradizione toscana. Particolare attenzione viene dedicata alla genuinità dei prodotti: no agli additivi (nitriti, addensanti, coloranti, starter microbici), no agli allergeni alimentari (glutine, lattosio, zuccheri), sì al rispetto dei tempi naturali di stagionatura in ambienti appositamente progettati, curati e che favoriscono il ricambio naturale dell’aria Gli allevamenti della cinta senese, controllati direttamente dalla famiglia RENIERI, hanno per ogni ettaro di terreno al massimo 5 animali, che vivono in completa libertà per almeno un anno nel loro habitat naturale, assicurando ad ognuno la necessaria ed equilibrata alimentazione e il massimo benessere animale. Il principale alimento della cinta senese è la ghianda. Nei periodi di scarsa produttività del bosco, l’alimentazione viene integrata con le migliori graminacee nobili come mais, orzo, frumento, avena e favino.

The Cinta Senese DOP cured meats and Prosciutto Toscano DOP awarded 5 spilli Eccellenza Italiana (five pins of Italian Excellence) in the guide "I salumi d'Italia" by L'Espresso, are two of the leading products of the RENIERI family, who have been producing typical Tuscan cured meats in the municipality of Poggibonsi (Siena) since the 1964. Theirs is an artisan family-run business, linked intimately to that magical Tuscan territory between San Gimignano, Castellina in Chianti and Siena, which has chosen to make extremely special products, remaining faithful to Tuscan tradition. Particular attention is paid to the authenticity of the products: no additives (nitrites, thickeners, dyes, microbial starters), no food allergens (gluten, lactose, sugars), but lots of respect for natural ageing times in specifically designed, meticulously cared-for environments that favour a natural exchange of air. The Cinta Senese farms, which are supervised personally by the RENIERI family, have a maximum of five animals per hectare of land. These animals are allowed to live in complete freedom for at least one year in their natural habitat, making sure that each one receives the necessary balanced diet and the best possible animal welfare. The staple diet of the Cinta Senese consists of acorns. When natural production in the forest is low, their diet is supplemented with the finest cereal grasses, such as corn, barley, wheat, oats and field beans.
